Delete your Agama account

Agama is a field companion for reptiles and amphibians. You can permanently delete your account and its associated data at any time — from inside the app, or by contacting us. You do not need to send us anything to delete your account.

Delete from inside the app

1. Open Agama and sign in.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Scroll to Delete account and tap it.
4. Type DELETE to confirm.

This immediately and permanently deletes your account, your observations, your trips, and your photos. It cannot be undone.

Or ask us to delete it

If you can no longer sign in, email support@agamaapp.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will act on the request without asking you to justify it, and respond within the time the law allows (one month under the GDPR).

What is deleted, and what is kept

• Deleted immediately from our live systems: your profile, your observations, your trips, and your photos.
• Removed from routine backups within 30 days.
• One exception: a photo of yours that we previously accepted as a species reference image stays in the app with your credit, because it has become part of shared reference data other people rely on. You can ask us to remove it and we will act on that request — see our Terms of Service.
